Can I place a POD or dumpster in my driveway?
​Yes, for up to 48 hours, or the owner must obtain written permission from the RES I Management to exceed 48 hours (this does not apply to units with shared motor courts, where it is impractical to place a POD or dumpster). 760-771-1234

What is the Audited Financial Statement?
A Reserve Study Analyst reviews our community assets to assist in developing a funding plan for future repairs or replacements. Some examples of these assets include roofs, pools, streets, and other items that require long-term repairs or replacements such as painting, irrigation control system, HOA office components and HOA owned vehicles.

What are our operating expenses?
Operating expenses are the day to day operational costs of the Association. Examples include insurance, legal fees, HOA staff, utilities, pool/spa maintenance and repairs, landscape maintenance, tree trimming and removal, annual color, lighting maintenance and repairs, street cleaning, and Master Association assessments.

How is the monthly HOA assessment determined?
The HOA assessment is calculated annually. The assessments are based upon the operating and reserve demands for a given year. Operating expenses are comprised of day to day maintenance of the exteriors of the units, including items such as roof maintenance, gates, landscaping, irrigation, pest control, lake maintenance, administration and insurance. Reserve expenses include repair or replacement of Association owned components that have a lifespan greater than three years, such as streets, pool and spa equipment, plaster and furniture and roof replacement. Management and the Board of Directors work closely to address the needs of the Association and prepare the annual budget in a fiscally responsible manner.

What is the Master Association assessment and how is it paid?
All PGA WEST homeowners pay this monthly assessment as part of their monthly residential association assessments;(It is included in your Res I HOA assessment.) Homeowners do not pay directly to the Master Association. The monthly assessment for the Master Association is determined annually by the Master Association Board. The assessment covers the Master Association’s operating and reserve expenses.

How do I pay my monthly assessment?
Your monthly assessment may be paid in several different ways. You may enroll in the Association’s direct debit program, whereby your US bank account will be debited the amount of your assessment on the 8th of each month, or if the 8th falls on a weekend or holiday, the next business day. You may pay your assessment by credit card; we accept Visa or Master Card; however, there is a passthrough fee to utilize this payment method. You may pay your assessment by mailing a check or money order, along with your assessment coupon, to PO Box 51126 Los Angeles, CA 90051. You may deliver your assessment payment via mail, or you may personally visit the Association office at 54-320 Southern Hills La Quinta, CA 92253.​​​​​

How often does my yard receive gardening service and how often is the lawn mowed by our landscape contractor?
Each unit receives gardening service once every ten workdays. The lawn is mowed weekly. The Palmer side is mowed on Thursday, and the Stadium side is mowed on Friday. Service dates may be affected by weather, extreme heat/rain days or holidays.

May I make changes to my existing landscape?
Yes, it is possible; however, you must obtain approval from the HOA prior to changing the landscape. Click here for more information.

How do I place a work order?

May I adjust watering times in my own yard?

What do I do if I see sprinklers that seem to be stuck and continuously running?
Call PGA WEST RES I Homeowner’s Association at 760-771-1234 extension 10 or 11. If it is after 5:00 pm, or on a weekend or holiday, the call will be answered by the Association’s answering service. Please provide the exact address and location on the property, i.e., front yard, courtyard, or golf course/lakeside. Our Landscape/Irrigation Department will be notified immediately.

What can I do about the Peninsular Bighorn sheep in my yard?
If you see or have bighorn sheep in or around your home, please do not approach, nor try to scare them away, nor feed them. It is against the law to do so. You may be reported to the CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife and this could result in a large fine. ​​​​
How will I know when my house is going to be painted? How are colors chosen?
The trim of your unit is painted every 5 years, and the stucco is painted every 10 years. When your house is due to be painted, you will receive a letter notifying you in advance of the tentative painting schedule and color(s), which have been selected for your building. Paint pallets are proposed by the paint and architectural committees and presented to the BOD for approval.

Who do I contact regarding burned out or defective landscape or exterior house lights?

When are the streets cleaned?
Street cleaning is performed every Wednesday. If a Holiday falls on Wednesday, street cleaning will be rescheduled to Thursday. We request that Owners please not park on the street, on street cleaning days.
How is the Master Association different from the Residential Associations within PGA WEST?
​The Master Association takes care of the main entrance at Jefferson St. and 54th Street, street repairs and maintenance on PGA Blvd., provides all entry gate personnel, distributes transponders for gate access, contracts for community wide patrol service and responds to all noise and other disturbances, provides landscaping at the residential gates, front entrance, and the perimeter wall of the entire property comprised of 3 HOAs; PGA WEST Residential (RES I), PGA WEST II Residential (Res II) and Fairways. Every property owner at PGA WEST is a member of the PGA WEST Master Association.

Where do I buy a Transponder?
Property owners within PGA WEST are entitled to gate transponders for their vehicles, including golf carts. To obtain a gate transponder, contact the Master Association Transponder Administrator, Jesus Cruz: 760-564-6488. Hours: Monday through Friday. 8am – 12pm & 1pm – 4pm, at the Jack Nicklaus Gate. Not available on weekends or Holidays.

Where do I request a guest pass?
To obtain a gate guest pass, you may either add your guest via the Dwelling Live website or contact the gate directly. Please contact the Master Association office for first time log In information.

What do I do if I have an RV, a moving van, or other oversized vehicle?
​You may park it in your driveway for up to 48 hours providing that it does not protrude into the street, nor block the ingress or egress of another vehicle. You may also park in the HOA parking lot Monday thru Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:30 AM or Friday thru Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Please contact the RES I HOA at 760-771-1234 extension 13 or 15, to schedule parking in the HOA lot, at least 2 days prior to your arrival.
What should I do if I need pest spray on the exterior of my home, or other pest related issues on the exterior?
